Verna Mae Colston

Services for Verna Mae Colston, 88, of Lindale are scheduled for 11:00 am, Monday, September 18, 2017 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Raymond Graham and David Baddas officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park.

Mrs. Colston passed away on September 15, 2017 in Lindale.

She was born on September 17, 1928 in Baxter Community to the late William Guy and Beulah Mae Mills Morgan. She was married to her late husband Oran Clark Colston for 58 years. She worked for Levi Strauss for several years and also helped raise other children while their parents worked. She was a homemaker and a wonderful Mother and loved to cook. She was a member of Flint United Methodist Church

She is survived by her children and their spouses; Clark Wayne; Martha Colston, Bobby; Diane Colston, Dolores; Mason Sowell, Daphney ; Robert Cooper and Gary and Stacie Colston; Sister: Doris Aaron of Seagoville,TX, Brother W. R. ;Martha Morgan of Clairemore, Oklahoma; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Wayne and Waymond Morgan; sisters Jo Faye Sisk and Louise Morgan Smith; 4 grandchildren, Tanya and Sara Colston, Amanda Knight, Aaron Carsten and great-great grandson, Cameron Hooks.

Pallbearers will be Shane Colston, Kyle Colston, Brandon Colston, Joseph Watts, Kelly Stafford, Christopher Colston, Heath Colston and Collin Colston.
