Graveside services for Vicky Porter,65,Tyler, are scheduled for 11:00am, Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bennie Portwood officiating under the direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. Ms. Porter died April 13 at Mother Frances Hospital. She was born January 1, 1947 in Lindale to the late Floyd Ginn and Patsy Phelps Ginn and was a lifelong resident of Tyler. She married Mike Porter on October 1,1964. He preceded her in death in 1970. Vicky was retired but had worked many years in the oil and gas industry and more recently as an apartment manager. She was a loving and caring sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by sisters Deborah Mitchum of Tyler; Beverly Rasberry and husband Hal of Whitehouse; and nephew Brandon Wood and wife Cheryl of Whitehouse and their children Madison and Jacob. The family would like to thank Dr. Habte Yimer and the staff of Texas Oncology for the exceptional care and attention they gave to Vicky.
