Wanda graduated from John Tyler High School and continued her education at Tyler Junior College. She worked for Brookshire Grocery Company in her younger years. Wanda married the love of her life, Herbert, and they moved to California with their daughter for 56 years and had just recently moved back to Texas. While living in California she owned a property Management Company that covered several Counties and enjoyed that for over 50 years. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth where she served as Worthy Matron in both orders. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Herbert Doss of Jacksonville, Texas; daughter, Rhonda (Jeffrey) Tritch of Jacksonville, Texas ; three grandchildren: Amanda (Jay) Parker of Hampton, Virginia, Brandon Press of Los Angeles, California and Michaela Tritch of Jacksonville, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Abigail Parker, David Parker and Marissa Parker all of Hampton, Virginia; sister, Mary Buckalew of Bullard Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Florence Hullum of Tyler, Texas; three brothers, Preston Stainback of Tyler, Texas, Eston Stainback of Troup, Texas and James Stainback of Van, Texas; and Granddaughter, Marissa A. Press of Los Angeles, California.
Wanda will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Forever in our Hearts! "LOVE YOU MORE!"
A time of visitation for Wanda will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, Texas 75704. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, followed by the burial at the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
