Mrs. Mathis was born on February 21, 1936, in Henderson,Texas, to John Ed and Frances Bobbitt Welch and passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, in Chandler. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and was loved by many and will be missed and thought of forever.
Survivors include her sons, Joe Mathis and wife, Linda, and Terry Mathis; daughter, Mary Mathis; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda Riley; and brothers, Robert Welch and wife, Mary and Sonny Welch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Mathis Jr.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the funeral home.
