William Charlie Stuart, age 87, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019. William was born on September 29, 1932 in Waxahachie, Texas, almost at the end of a cotton row, by Orlando and Ada Stuart, from Oklahoma.
William was delivered by his Grandmother, Hannah Rosetta Stuart (a proud American Indian woman). Growing up in Houston around family and friends, many of the Uncles working in textiles. These strong people were Farmers, until their life moved them to Houston, where many of the Family already resided. Orlando, his Father, would also travel from Houston to Oklahoma. He picked up fresh fruits from farms along the way, bringing these back to Houston where this route lead him to meet, Joyce Clarice, his wife, from Nacogdoches, Texas. Three children were born, from this wedlock: William C. Stuart II, James Wesley and Brenda Kaye. The family lived in Houston for a few years, but he realized that the Ministry was his calling and decided to attend East Texas Baptist College. William, nicknamed Bill and Charlie, loved teaching, reading the Bible, and being a Minister. His family was extremely proud of him. He loved fishing in his spare time, remodeling houses, and most of all helping people when and where he could. William wore himself out much of his life, by his dedication to people.
William is survived by son James Wesley; daughter Brenda Kaye; grandchildren Christina Lynn Stuart, Cordell Rodriguez, Dustin Rodriguez and Debby Stuart Blake; and 8 great grandchildren. We will miss him, until we are together again, in Spirit and Heaven.
William is also survived by his wife, Theressa Inez Stuart.
William resides in Heaven now, with his family, eldest son Bill Jr; grandson Billie (Charlie) III; and first wife Joyce Clarice.
A visitation for William will be held Monday, December 9, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tyler Memorial Funeral Home chapel, followed by a graveside service at Rock Hill Cemetery, in Brownsboro, Texas.
