A MESSAGE FROM THE FAMILY
The McCullough family is deeply saddened to inform you that Willie Joe went to be with the Lord late night Tuesday, August 18, 2020. As many of you know, he had been suffering from the effects of Parkinson’s Disease for some time now. We are relieved that he was at home with Rubie and the girls near. His passing was peaceful. Willie’s Visitation is open to the public and will be held on this Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 W, Tyler, TX in the Chapel from 2pm until 6pm. Due to the dangers of Covid-19, we are asking all visitors to comply with the current Public Health requirements and restrictions, including 1. Wearing a face covering 2. Washing hands thoroughly 3. Refraining from hugs The current Texas Covid-19 regulations severely limit the number of people allowed to gather in any one place. These regulations apply to funeral chapels. The maximum number of people allowed to attend the funeral is very low. In order to comply with the law and to allow Willie’s immediate family to celebrate and mourn his life and legacy, the funeral service will be private. We pray that you can understand and respect this very hard decision. Because we know the number of family and friends that would want to attend his funeral far exceeds the maximum attendance allowed at the funeral home, we have arranged for the funeral services to be broadcast on Tyler Memorial Funeral Home FaceBook Page. https://www.facebook.com/TylerMemorialFH. The ceremony can be viewed and downloaded “on-demand” anytime. Willie will be interred at the Cathedral of the Pines Cemetery and Mausoleum. The military honors ceremony will be performed to memorialize his service to our country. As you know, Willie was a modest, easy going and “no fuss” kind of guy. We sincerely appreciate all of your care and support, especially during his long illness. We thank you in advance for your understanding in making sure he receives a homegoing celebration that he would appreciate and so rightly deserves. Rubie is feeling the impact of his absence, but holding up well. Please keep her and his daughters, Monica, Winnie, and Melanie in your prayers for peace and understanding. May God continue to bless and keep you in our prayer, ~The McCullough Family
