He was born in New London on June 24, 1957 to the late Earl and Hazel (Hewlitt) Soper. Bruce worked as an auto mechanic and enjoyed the race track, hunting, the Dallas Cowboys and shooting billiards.
Bruce is survived by Lori Corcoran to whom he was married from 1983 – 1998, his son; Jordan Soper, daughter; Alissa-Marie Morgart, brothers; Wayne and Mark Soper and sister; Crystal Lightfoot. He was predeceased by his sisters; Starr Mathis and Lorrie Soper.
Visitation will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich-New London Tnpk., Uncasville on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 6-8pm. There are no formal services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate his life at Montville VFW on Raymond Hill Road following services.
