

She was born in New London on May 8,1964 the daughter of Robert Almeida and Carol Beisel. She married her soulmate Donald A. Kutz Jr. on August 5,2006 in New London where they shared 14 beautiful years together.
Chrissy was a active member of her community. At the early age of 19, in 1983 Chrissy became a member of the Mohegan Volunteer fire company following in her father Roberts footsteps. She volunteered at many football games for Montville high school and St. Bernards High school running the ambulance for the games. Chrissy also was at every youth football game with the ambulance for Montville Youth making sure any child injured was taken care of.
Chrissy also worked for the Town of Montville as the democratic registrar of voters. She worked for Beit Brothers as deli manager until the store closed. Chrissy also worked for tri town market and best market as a deli manager. Chrissy was also an EMT for Griswold Ambulance for many years. Chrissy was a girl scout troop leader as well. After meeting her Husband Don in 2005, Chrissy joined the Montville Fire Company to help serve her community more. After joining Montville Fire Company she would attend every parade with her husband on the “Old Lady”. She took great pride in all the trucks for the department but was very proud when she was riding on the Old Lady with her husband.
One of Chrissy’s favorite things is life was her Granddaughters. Teaching them how to bake different types of muffins and cookies. She was best known for throwing amazing birthday parties for the girls with amazing food for her family to enjoy.
Chrissy is survived by her Husband Don. She is also survived by her parents Gottfried and Carol Beisel of Montville, her daughter, Barbara Johnson and husband Jeremiah of Montville, daughter Kelly Brown of Oakdale, and bonus daughter Mallory Grohocki of Oakdale. Chrissy is also Survived by her sister Holly Grout and Husband Randy and their son Brandon of Oakdale, brother Daniel Almeida and wife Tamara of Montville, brother David Beisel and wife Janeen and their daughter Haley. Also her granddaughters Olivia Rose and Zoey Ann and bonus grandson Brantley Alexander. Chrissy is also survived by her Aunt Barbara Phillips of Uncasville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her father Robert Almeida and her uncle William “Billy” Phillips Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Friday December 18 ,2020 from 5 to 8pm at Church and Allen in Uncasville. Services will continue on Saturday December 19 , 2020 with the procession lining up at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by a graveside service at Comstock Cemetery at 10:00 AM. The family asks that everyone please wear a mask if you are going to attend.
