Christopher T. Hess

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather (“Pappy”) and friend. He graduated from Montville High School in 1968, falling in love with his future wife, Robin, during his junior year. He went on to play football at the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 1973 and accepting a job at Pfizer, where he worked until retiring in 2008.

He and Robin were married in 1974, and were fortunate to have spent 46 years together before his passing. He spent most of his time making her laugh, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He led a life to be proud of; he put his family first, nurtured his friendships, and understood the importance of living a life honoring both. He is now with his parents, Valerie and Christopher Hess.

Chris is survived by his wife; Robin, two sons; Cy and Van, daughters-in-law; Jennifer and Taryn, grandchildren; Berkeley, Boden, Keira, and Katarina; sisters, Sandy, Eileen, and Karen, brother; Donald, and father and mother-in-law; Robert and Toka Nicholson.

In lieu of donations or flowers, we ask you to honor Chris by doing something special with your family this weekend.

Calling hours will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen on Friday, July 20th from 4 pm to 7pm.
