To the entire Banta Family: Joan, Corny, Tiffany, Scott, Dawn-I am so very saddened by the loss of Neil.I know he was a bright light in all of your lives, with his dedication to his daughter, and his family life, and to his music, and his carefree way of life and thinking. I don't know the saddness of losing a son, but I have just experienced the loss of my husband just 6 months ago... I know that any kind of loss is hard, but I have learned to remember the good times, and I know you had lots of them with Neil. Trust in your memories, as they will carry you through some hard days and months ahead. My deepest sympathy to all of the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Joan and Corn, I can't begin to know your sadness. Neil was a treasure, to my daughter Carmen and to all of us. I know how much they loved each other. The sadness is felt here in Nebraska as everyone who met Neil loved him. My deepest sympathy to all the family.
