Dawn M. Swanson

Dawn M. Swanson, age 69, of Uncasville, passed away on April 3, 2026 at her home. She was born on December 19, 1956 in New London to the late Michael and Helena (Molbolski) Clesowich. She married Bruce Swanson on April 6, 1974, at First Baptist Church in Waterford. She is survived by her husband, Bruce.

Dawn worked at the Navy Exchange in Groton as a warehouse manager for 19 years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister Rose Bunnell and her husband Don of Montville, sister in laws Beverly Swanson and Bonnie Douton of Norwich as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Michael and Edward Clesowich.

Dawn appreciated the beauty of her tulips, crocus, and daffodils because that was a sign of the changing seasons. Of course, the changing of seasons meant embracing her true New Englander pass times. Her favorite baseball team was the Boston Red Sox and let’s not forget about the New England Patriots. But above all else, what Dawn was most passionate about was her family. Her unconditional love was, and always will be, kept in our hearts.
