Frances M Grondzik

She was born on July 11, 1940 to the late Benjamin and Rose (Mrowka) Emilyta in Montville, CT. She graduated from NFA in 1958, worked briefly at Shefield Tube in New London, and in 1962 married her beloved Andrew Grondzik at St. John’s in Montville. Fran was a devoted wife and mother dedicating her life to her family.

Fran was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Ladies Auxiliary at Chesterfield Fire House and enjoyed playing bingo there and on the computer. She also loved Vermont and was a seasonal camper at Camperama Campground spending a lot of time there. Whenever she had a free moment she liked to craft, knit, sew and make flower arrangements. She was known for her holiday decorations around the house and will be greatly missed.

Besides her husband, Fran is also survived by two sons; David & Glenn Grondzik, two brothers; John & Julian Emilyta and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Oakdale on Friday at 10am meeting directly at the church. Burial will immediately follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Montville. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6pm – 8pm at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen.
