

They grew up in Lisbon Falls, Maine and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1948. She was a nursing student for one year, but chose to marry Alton and follow him to Groton, CT where he began his 20 year career in the US Navy. They were married for 70 years.
Besides being a supportive Navy wife, she was a devoted and loving mother to her four children. She is survived by Jill Rogers, Robert Rogers and his wife, Marie Rogers, Marvin Rogers and his wife, Amy Rogers and Michael Rogers and his wife, Sherry Rogers.
She leaves her grandchildren: Nicholas, Nathan and Nicole Witcraft, and Danielle Rogers as well as being Great Grammie to seven great grandchildren.
She loved being a homemaker and caring for her children. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her boys play baseball and was a Red Sox fan. She had a passion for politics and debating with her children. She also loved her parrot, Humphrey, of 30 plus years.
Funeral Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
