She was born on May 23, 1934 in Norwich, the daughter of Thomas and Grace (Mitchell) Farrell. She was active in the little league, Babe Ruth, and pee-wee football programs. She also ran the concession stand at Camp Oakdale for 5 years. Gladys was an avid bingo player and UCONN Huskies fan. Gladys was a member of the Montville Senior Citizen Club and the Montville Center Congregational Church and worked at the town’s polling sites during elections for the past 30 years.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roger Street, her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Joseph Harvey, sons; Roger Jr., James, Thomas and his wife Brenda Street, two grandsons; William and Joseph Harvey Jr., and her sister Elizabeth Fox.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Donations in Gladys’ memory may be made to the Montville Senior Center or Hospice of Southeastern CT.
