Glory Linda Viadella

Sadly on September 10, 2022, our sister Glory lost her battle with Alzheimer’s and she joined her beloved heavenly family. She passed in Oakdale, Connecticut at the home of her caregiver and best friend (like a daughter) Shirley and her husband Henry Kobelski. A special thanks to them.

Glory was preceded in death by her parents: Theodore Joseph Viadella Sr. & Alice M. (Doubleday) Viadella, her brother Ted Viadella Jr. and her husband of 52 years, Frank Suplita who passed in 2017.

She is survived by her brother Robert Viadella and wife Donna, half-sister Genevieve (Viadella) Huta, sister in-law Rosanne Viadella, nieces and nephews and Frank’s siblings Steven & Della and families. She is also survived by her aunts Evelyn (Doubleday) Swiacke, and Shirley Viadella and many cousins. We all enjoyed big family gatherings for Gramma’s August birthday parties at the Doubleday farm in Bozrah.

Glory grew up on the East side in Norwich, Connecticut and attended Bishop School and Norwich Free Academy.

She was a longtime employee of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. After her retirement Glory, Frank & Mom moved to Hampstead, North Carolina in 1996 where they built their retirement home.

Glory’s favorite color was green and her passions were: reading mystery novels, working crossword puzzles, vegetable & flower gardening and creating delicious meals for family & friends. She was very close to Mom and they spent many hours together exploring antique shops and garage sales.

A special Thanks to Glory’s sister-friends with Jehovah Witnesses of Wilmington, North Carolina and her special friends Ann King, Linda Walker and Mary Eddie and neighbors James and Deborah Farmer and all of the staff of Dr. Yokum’s office of Hamstead, NC. She enjoyed each of your friendships. A special thanks also to Fernando Ojeda and his hard work in Frank’s footer business.

In accordance with Glory’s wishes there will be no funeral or church services. A private interment will take place at a later date.
