Jason was born on Aug. 1, 1977, to his proud parents Robert and Arlene Hislop.
He was a graduate of Montville High School, and just after graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jason enjoyed many things in life. His favorite thing to do was to be out in the woods riding his four wheeler, or helping his father, brother, and uncle on some odds and ends projects they may have had laying around. Growing up he was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and loved playing football.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Robert Hislop of Uncasville; his Uncle John and Aunty Allison Hislop of East Lyme, his Aunty Janet and Jack Hogan of Niantic, his Uncle Bill of Texas; his cousins, Emelie Napolitano of Amston, Michael Hislop of East Lyme, Monica Baker of Uncasville, and Teresa Mann.
Jason was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John D. Hislop Sr. and Emelie M. Hislop; his maternal grandmother, Josephine "Gram" Angelosik; and his Aunt Vivian Baker.
Jason was a very special person who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure to know him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and willingness to give anyone the shirt off his back.
Family and friends may visit Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Turnpike, Uncasville. Burial will immediately follow at the Comstock Cemetery, Depot Road, Montville.
