Justin was born in New Haven, Connecticut on January 17, 1988. Justin mainly grew up in Groton, CT, Moosup, CT and Attawaugan, CT. He later resided in Dayville, CT with his mother and step father.
From the very beginning of his life, Justin faced many challenges that prevented long-term employment, however, he made a career out of helping others in need; especially those he loved and cared about. He insisted on helping family and friends with as much as he possibly could. He particularly enjoyed helping his grandfather with yard work and his neighbors tend to their farm.
Justin was a very family oriented individual and always enjoyed spending time with his relatives. In fact, Justin would randomly call members of his family to remind them that he loved them. He would also remind us of how grateful he was to have all of us in his life.
Justin was a natural “outdoorsman.” He loved spending time outside with his brothers and friends whether it was fishing, hiking, or working. He never turned away an opportunity to spend time with those closest to him even if it meant hard labor. Justin was also a sincere animal lover and showed it with the excellent care he provided for his cat named “smokey.” Although Justin faced many challenges throughout his life, he always made the best of every situation and cherished every moment he was given.
Justin is predeceased by his Grandmother Rita Catherine Shaffer of Lakeland, FL and his sister Patricia Watrous of Uncasville, CT
