Laurie Ann Chapman

Laurie had a very tender heart for others and animals. She recently retired from the Montville Senior Center, cooking for her beloved seniors. Laurie has always been a creative person. She had studied art in California and it showed in her many interests in life, her love of cooking, gardening, and designing of her home. She loved reading, puzzles and anything on the water. She loved traveling. She traveled to Ireland and England and even took a trip to Cancun by herself.

Laurie was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Jeanne Chapman and her nephew Scott Vautour. She leaves behind the love of her life of 30 years, Michael Petrowski of Oakdale, her brothers Ken Chapman of Forest City, North Carolina, and Steven Chapman and wife Becky of New Berm, North Carolina, her sister Lynda Chapman of Mansfield, her nieces Tammy Rhiness and family of Delta, Colorado, Amber Chapman and family of Willowick, Ohio, Holly Oglesby and family of Spartanburg, South Carolina, her nephews Quinn and Luke Chapman of Lyme, her cousins Cathy, Patti, Erin, Chris and uncle Dave.

Family and friends may visit Church and Allen Funeral Home, 53 Norwich-New London Tpke, Uncasville on Thursday, January 9th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Norwich at a later date to be determined by the family. Please check back for updates.
