Mary E Luty

Mary was born April 3, 1926 in Montville, the daughter of the late Louis and Gladys (Carlton) Seaberg.

She attended Montville grammar schools and later the Williams School in New London. After graduation, she worked as a nurses aid working with handicapped children at the Seaside Hospital Center in Waterford.

After leaving Seaside, she took a position at the Roberson Paper Board Co. in Montville, where she rose to the quality control operations.

She later married the late John W. Luty and they resided in Montville, and had two sons John R. Luty and Russell Luty(deceased).

She was devoted to her granddaughters Sara, Jennifer, and Jessica Luty and two great grandchildren Davaughn Luty and Brianna Luty Fonseca.

She is also survived by her daughter in laws Nadine Luty and Molly Ali, son in laws Russ Fonseca and Andrew Hobson III, by her friend Libby Boutin and by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and son, she was predeceased by her sister Sally Maguvro, and brothers Louis and Conrad Seaberg.

She loved being outdoors no matter what season or weather. It was difficult to slow her down even in her latter years. She always put everyone else first. She was a member of the Montville Fire Department Ladies Auxilliary for many years.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Comstock Cemetery, Depot Rd. in Montville at 11 am.
