Bartholomew- Richard Charles Bartholomew, 75, of Oakdale died Saturday April 5, 2014 at Backus Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara E. (Kenyon) Bartholomew. He was an avid Red Sox fan. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Gerard Pinto, of Spencer, MA, Sherry Akins, of Sarasota, FL, Robert Pinto, of Miami, FL, Amy Petty, of Oxford, NC, Kristy Mureddu and Carey White, both of North Kingstown, RI, and 9 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Richard I. Bartholomew. He is also survived by his sister, Irene Tetreault of Danielson, CT. Visitation will be Friday April 11, 2014 at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen Rte 32 Uncasville from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be at 11a.m. at the funeral home. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please visit to leave an online tribute or condolence.
