Roland J Fink Sr.

He was born in Hebronville, Massachusetts on May 3,1934. On March 14, 1964 he married his beloved wife Jerolyn V Gucfa. Together they raised their family while Roland worked as a Master Machinist.

“Papa” was loved by all who knew him. He was a friendly but sassy remark, a smile and a wisecrack to all he encountered. Things will never be the same without hearing him tell everyone, “Stop that!” at any surprise sneeze or hiccup! Papa's standard answer to, “How are you?” would be, “Fat and sassy!” Papa valued time with his family especially gathered around for family dinner or even on a cruise around the world. In the late seasons of his life, he enjoyed quiet evenings at home with his grown children watching a televised ballgame or Jeopardy.

Roland, is survived by his son; Roland Jr., daughters; Linda Stewart and Mary L. Fink, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and more “adopted” grandkids than anyone can count. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Jerolyn.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 22nd, at 11 AM at the Fort Shantok Burial Ground in Uncasville. There are no calling hours.
