Valerie T Lewko Walendziak

She was born in Brooklyn New York on June 18, 1956 to the late John and Theresa (Zur) Lewko. On June 21, 1980 she married her beloved husband Robert who survives her.

Valerie worked for a time at Pfizer Corp., but left due to illness and to be a full-time mom to her loving daughter Lauren. Valerie was a CCD teacher and cantor at church and was a very spiritual person. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family.

Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by her daughter Lauren Kate Walendziak, nieces and nephews; Richard McLean, Kerrie McLean, Lisa Taylor, Ryan O’Mara, Jacelyn Soucy, Sal Desimone, Christopher Desimone and Teri Desimone. She was predeceased by her sister, Sister Joann Marie Lewko.

Visitation will be at the Montville Funeral Home of Church & Allen, 54 Norwich-New London Tnpk., Uncasville, CT 06382 on Thursday (Feb 9th) from 4pm-8pm. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 10am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
