Alfred J. Faraone

Alfred J. Faraone, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 09, 2013 with his loving family by his side, in Union, NJ. Alfred was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. After the war, Al successfully opened his own construction business. He was best known for being the rock of his family, and enjoyed celebrating life with his family.

Al was predeceased by his brother Pasquale and sister Anntoinette Barbella. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Christine, his loving children Louis and his wife Donna, Michael and his wife Diana, Lisa Guida and her husband Ken, and Sandi Santorelli and her husband Ernie. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren Christopher, Anthony, and Michele Faraone; Danielle, Lauren, Jenna, and Andrew Guida; Melissa Bliss and her husband Joel; and Peter, Nicole, and Fredo Santorelli. He also leaves behind his brothers Louis, Carmen and his wife Vicki, and John and his wife Joan; his sisters Josephine Ciampi and her husband Al, Rosemary Snow, Alice Chirichella, and Florence Faraone, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 11, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave Union, NJ. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 10AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield 37 Church Mal Springfield, NJ, with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alfred’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
