Alyn J. Roos

He was born on December 8, 1932 to the late John and Clara Roos in Newark, NJ.

Alyn was a member of the Union Masons and the Optimist Club. He was a member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Somerville, NJ. As a life-long Lutheran, he served on Social Ministry committees and volunteered whenever he could to help others. He was an avid fisherman and loved the New York Giants.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jerri, his parents John and Clara Roos (nee) Hoeren and his brother Edward Roos.

Alyn is survived by Jeffrey and wife Sandy Roos, John and wife Carolyn Roos, Jamie and husband Brian Dungey, 4 grandchildren Ciara, Colton, Christopher and Ryan, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the McCracken Funeral Home on Sunday December 19, 2021 from 2-6pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 300 Union Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876 at 10am followed by interment in the Graceland Memorial Park 1900 Galloping Hill Rd, Kenilworth, NJ 07033.
