Arthur P. Lynch Jr.

Arthur was born in Elizabeth, NJ on February 20, 1948 to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Lynch. He attended Roselle Catholic High School and then continued his education at Newark College of Engineering. Arthur worked for many years at Exxon Oil Refinery in Linden, NJ.

Arthur enjoyed golf, he was both a member and worked at Galloping Hill Golf Course. He loved to golf with his friends and family. He was a member of the Union Elks Lodge # 1583. Arthur was a kind and generous man who was always easy to talk to and made friends with everyone he met. He enjoyed all sports and played basketball in his younger years. Arthur loved to dance. Brenda would say that her and Arthur fell in love on the dance floor, they were always the first ones on the dance floor and the last to leave it. Arthur was described as a fun loving, outgoing person. Most important to him was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda; a daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Ryan LaVire, a son and daughter-in-law Arthur and Jillian Lynch; three grandchildren Chloe, Sophie and Evangeline; his brother Timothy J Lynch, three sisters Patricia Tretola, Elizabeth Milton, and Mary Catherine Lynch, many nieces and nephews along with his beloved grandogs Keira and Sawyer.

Arthur is predeceased by his three siblings at a young age Loretta, Christopher and Bernadette his sister Joanne Cowan in 1999 and his three dogs Booboo, muffin and Bebe.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the McCracken Funeral Home on Wednesday July 5, 2023 from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Rd, Union, NJ on Thursday July 6, 2023 at 10:30 am followed by interment in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ.
