Bernadette A McGovern

Bernadette was born in Sligo, Ireland and lived in Roselle Park for 30 years. She was a Front End Supervisor for Acme, Union for 25 years before her retirement in 2008.

Cherished daughter of the late Owen and Bridget Gallagher. Beloved wife of 45 years to Michael V. McGovern. Loving mother of Caroline Budis and her husband Joe, Michael McGovern, and Kevin McGovern and his wife Eileen. Adoring grandmother of Joey, Matt, Sean, Ryan, and Owen. Dear sister of Mary, Margaret, Susan, Theresa, Jane, Julia, and the late Thomas Gallagher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave Union NJ. A funeral mass will be offered at St. Theresa’s Church, Kenilworth on Tuesday, November 26th at 10 AM, with interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bernadette's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Place, Memphis TN 38015.
