

Charles A. Remlinger, age 94, of Union and Springfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 14, 2015. A memorial gathering will be held at the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union, NJ; on Sunday April 26, 2015 from 2-4 PM. Charlie owned and operated Charles A. Remlinger Real Estate, located in Springfield, NJ, for over 50 years. He was a member of the South Orange-Maplewood Board of Realtors, New Jersey Board of Realtors and for many years served as the President of the homeowners association at the Point in Union, NJ. Charlie served his country proudly, as a bomber pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corp, during WW II, in the 760thBomber Squadron. He was an active member of the Springfield community, serving on the Township Committee, and was a member of the VFW Continental Post. He was a Charter Member and Paul Harris recipient of the Springfield Rotary Club, serving for many years on the board and as past president. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Doris) Remlinger. Devoted father of Gary C. and his wife Bobbi Remlinger, Patricia Lea Remlinger and the late Sharon Remlinger. Loving grandfather of Donna Remlinger Fortney and her husband Joseph and Brian Gary Remlinger and his wife Kendra. Cherished great-grandfather of Cooper Joseph, Keaton O’Reilly, Quinn Brian and Delaney Russell. Dear brother of Elizabeth Brucker, Kathryn Monsell and the late George Remlinger and Margaret Hauser. Charlie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
