Concetta, affectionately known as "Connie" Piegari, 95, of Fords, NJ, peacefully passed away on June 24, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 19, 1929 to Carmela Pezzino (nee Mastrostefano), and father, Joseph Pezzino. She spent her formative years both in Newark and Irvington. Connie retired from Bristol-Meyers in Hillside after many years of employment. Not one to remain idle, she spent several years volunteering at JFK Medical Center as a candy striper.
Connie was a devoted sister and Aunt. She treasured time spent with her family, and especially loved her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing board games and completing huge puzzles with them. Connie enjoyed traveling to the Jersey shore on weekends to the family home in Toms River. She loved driving her car and the independence it gave her.
Connie is predeceased by her late husband, Gennaro J. Piegari, and her brother, Salvatore Pezzino. She leaves behind her sisters Mary P. Hock of Bradenton, FL, Ruth P. Klinder of Kenilworth, NJ and Esther P. Hallacker and brother-in-law Allen Hallacker of Sarasota, FL.
"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31
