Dolores A. Marzocca

Born August 31, 1932 in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of William and Adele Salinkas. With several years of perfect attendance, she graduated from West Mahanoy High School in 1949, moving to New York City where she met her future husband. On October 24, 1953, she married Gerard L. Marzocca, who predeceased her on February 7, 2018. The family moved from Jersey City to Union, NJ, where she resided for 66 years. They were an inaugural family in the founding of Holy Spirit Church. She was employed at Kean College, was active in the rosary society, a member of the 200 bowling club, and an avid mahjong player.

Dolores is survived by three sons, Dean (Donna Burke) of Chesapeake, VA, Paul (Kally Eastman) of Union, and Gerard (Danielle) of Raritan, NJ; her grandchildren Kathryn (Ryan) Hagen, Nicholas (Amanda) Marzocca, Claire (Brian) Morgan, Stephanie (Adam) Kassim, Anthony and Charlotte Marzocca (Mike Payne), Jessica and Caroline Marzocca; her great grandchildren Lillian and James Hagen, Amelia and Cora Marzocca, Hunter and Juniper Morgan, Natalie and Noelle Kassim, Mackenzie and Ivy Payne; a brother, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Dolores will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083. An entombment will occur Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave, Union, NJ 07083.
