Our Mom, sister, and friend was born Ella Mae Green, on March 13, 1934 to Walter Green and Mary Harris in Oxford, North Carolina. She came from a large, loving family that consisted of eight siblings, four brothers (William, Walter Lee, Randolph, and Rux) and four sisters (Emma, Roxie, Ethel, and Susie). She attended, and graduated from, Mary Potter High School in Oxford, North Carolina.
Ella then moved to New Jersey, where she married James Robert Webb, also of Oxford, North Carolina. Ella and James were married for 25 years, until his death in 1983. From their union were born 4 daughters, 2 sons, (Cindy, Denise, Rhoshina, Miriam Keturah, James, and Ivan).
She dedicated her life to Jehovah God by water baptism in 1958 at the International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Yankee Stadium in New York and remained faithful to her God until her death at the age of 81. During her service to Jehovah God, she and her husband returned to their hometown of Oxford, North Carolina to serve where the need was great to spread the good news about Jehovah God’s Kingdom, and later returned to New Jersey.
Ella was a homemaker and held various jobs throughout her adult life, with her last being with John and Carolyn Ferolito of Short Hills, NJ, where she cared for their home and son, John Ferolito Junior. She worked with the Ferolito Family for 12 years, until her retirement in 2001. Ella and Carolyn kept in touch often and even long after her retirement.
She leaves behind six children, Cindy Serrano (William Serrano), Denise McClain, Rhoshina Broca (Gerardo Broca), Miriam Keturah Webb, James Webb ( Ria Webb), Ivan Webb (Princecetta Webb); seven grandchildren Meia Chacon, Logan McClain (Shonta McClain), Destini McClain, E’n Ralph, Evan Ralph, Zarethan Webb, Temrhein Webb; there great-grandchildren Cullen, Rockit, and Sagan; two brothers Randolph Green and Rux Green and a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and extended family who all love her dearly.
Ella loved entertaining family and friends. Her home was always the place to meet at for fun, fellowship and food. Ella enjoyed shopping, cooking, and having big family gatherings and barbeques in the backyard. She will always be remembered for her warm heart and hospitality.
She strongly believed in God's Word and his promise of a resurrection at John 5:28, 29 "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
We will see our Mom, Sister and Friend Again. We love you all Ella.
