Florence Horniacek

Florence was born on December 4, 1935 in Newark to her loving parents Samuel and Florence Horniacek. She spent a majority of her life living in Newark only moving to Union after her retirement as a legal secretary to be closer to family.

She was a woman who loved the outdoors, smelling flowers, her favorite being daisies, the sunset at the beach but most importantly she loved spending time with her family. Florence will be remembered for her stories as she was a great storyteller and good friend to all who knew her. She will be missed.

Florence was predeceased by her Niece,Lisa Wilson; Brother, Samuel Horniacek; Cousins, Geraldine, Catherine, and Dorothy Toomey.

She is survived by her Nephew, Mark Horniacek; Niece, Jean Horniacek; Cousin, Linda Morgan; Great Niece, Katherine Wilson and Great Nephew, Thomas Wilson.

A visitation for Florence will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10:15 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 1212 Kelly St, Union, NJ 07083. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031.
