Frank A. Pergolizzi

Visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave Union, NJ on Friday, January 10, 2013 from 4-8. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Road, Union on Saturday, January 11 at 9:30AM followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside.

Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, Frank graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, graduate studies at Columbia University, St John’s University, as well as NYU. He was a research chemist for many years, working for several pharmaceutical companies including Bristol-Myers, Lehn and Fink, Colgate-Palmolive, and retired from Reckitt-Benckiser. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He was a long time resident of West Orange and a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in West Orange. He loved to travel and visited numerous U.S. cities and National Parks. He also loved art, nature, museums, libraries, music, camping, swimming, and Boy Scouts.

Frank is survived by his wife, Irene (Stralka), sons Michael Pergolizzi and Robert Pergolizzi, sister, Anne Barbella and her husband, Joseph, as well as several nieces and nephews other relatives.
