

Frank L. Wood passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 95; he was born on June 24, 1931, in Cranford and was a resident of Union, New Jersey. Leaving behind a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family.
Born to Frank P. Wood and Ida Wood, Frank grew up in Cranford and carried with him a strong sense of duty throughout his life. In 1952, he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean War.
Frank married his beloved wife, Galina, and together they shared a lifetime of love, companionship, and memories.
Following his military service, Frank enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a photographer for PSEG. His talent, professionalism, and keen eye for capturing moments earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and all who knew him.
Frank was a proud member of the Union Elks and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow members and continued to honor the bonds forged through military service.
Frank will be remembered for his quiet strength, dedication to his family, pride in his work, and honorable service to his country.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Galina; his brother, Ronald; and his son. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. Wood and Ida Wood.
Frank's memory will be treasured by his family and friends, and his legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched.
Visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083, on July 27, 2026, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, 971 Suburban Rd, Union, NJ 07083, on July 28, 2026, from 10:00am to 11:00am. Committal will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07067, on July 28, 2026, at 12:15pm
