Frederick Joseph Barsanti, 52, of Union, N.J., died suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. The funeral is from McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, N.J. on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at 8 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church Union, N.J., at 9:15 a.m. Committal will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Fred was employed with the U.S. Postal Service, working for 30 years at the Livingston, N.J., office. An avid Jets fan, he also formerly coached Pop Warner Football in Union, N.J., and was a member of the Post Office Softball League. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Mary Pavone Barsanti; his loving children, Michael Anthony Barsanti and Melissa Renee Barsanti, and his dear siblings, Armand, Albert and Leo Barsanti, Ida Cascio and Renee Lopez. Fred is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his faithful dogs, Angel and Buddy. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to your local ASPCA.
