George F. Kovach, age 93, of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 25, 2020. Born in Beaverdale, PA, George was raised in Elizabeth, NJ, before moving to Union, NJ many years ago. A memorial mass will celebrated at Holy Spirit Church at a later date. He was the technical director of Duralac Industries in Newark, NJ for 38 years before his retirement. George was an active member of Holy Spirit Church in Union. He served as a member and past president of the Holy Name Society, a lector, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4504. George was an avid golfer and a past member of the NJ Senior Golf League. George was the youngest and the last of 9 children born to the late John and Mary Kovach. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Eleanor Kovach and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Spirit Church 984 Suburban Road Union, NJ 07083.
