Helen Duran (Nee Straka), 98, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2019.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Michael, her parents, Andrew and Barbara (Nee Sopko) Straka, and her sisters, Mary and Ann. She was born in Newark, NJ and married her husband Michael on September 12, 1942. She is survived by her 3 loving sons Dennis (Arlene), Thomas (Martine), and Gary (Anita). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Catherine Lepp, Jennifer Tuffy (Mark), Allison Duran (Michael), and Melissa McPhail (Scott); and 9 great-grandchildren as well as many other loving family members and friends. Helen loved to travel with her husband; having been all over the world. She was very involved in her Church and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends.
A visitation for Helen will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union. Funeral mass, 10:15 AM at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union. Committal service, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
