To all of those, past and present, who loved Jean:

May fond memories of Jean bring us all comfort during this difficult time. I will always recall his friendly and hospitable nature; more importantly, the vital wisdom he imbued upon me as a young boy stays with me to this day. He always emphasized the importance of education and was congratulatory whenever I shared news of any life accomplishment.  As the wise say, "family isn't defined by our biological relationships.

It’s me the mailman. There was never a day you never smiled and had the same salutation “hey EMMANUEL!” How are you today. Thanks for the work you do. The memories you always shared about your life and  family and always kept an open mind. You really are going to be missed however, I know one thing is that you are celebrating life with the angels. Family stay strong we grieve with you.

Jean Marie, the mechanic of the family.  My father Mathieu Etienne would let no one touched his cars but you.  Although we did not live in the same house, your name, work, passion to help family and others were always a conversation in our house. You have joined the ancestors. I know there’s a feast in heaven with you there. Rest in Power Jean!

He took me to my first dance. Protected me from hurting myself as a little girl from dangerous jump . Taught me how to play the guitar.  Thanks to him I drove my van safely home from Jersey City to Nassau County.  We always close our phone calls by  "love you" and he always answer " Love you too". I will never forget you. We had great memories together.  Love you...Rest in Peace  cousin.

So sorry for your loss, Jean was such a kind, loving and giving man,  he always was there to lend a helping hand to anyone. I grew up along side him working on cars at Pines Auto,  Jean had helped and shown me many of times how to repair cars the right way, he will be truly missed and will remain in my heart forever as a true friend. I can pay Jean my three highest accolades: he was a nice man, a kind man, and a fair man. Although I now live in Florida, we occasionally kept in touch online. His passing saddens my wife and me greatly. He brought my antique 1967 Barracuda back to working order and he used to laugh whenever I told him that he was on my mind every time I sat behind the wheel. He will continue to be.
