Joanne enjoyed a long career as an educator. she was a graduate of Seton Hall University. Her tenure in education began at St. Leo's School, Irvington, also as a CCD teacher at St. Michael's, Union, and then retirement in 2010 from many successful years as an English teacher at Burnet Middle School in Union.
Jonne also was a parishioner at St. Michael's, a member of the Union Elks Lodge, and a firm supporter of the Republican Party.
As a friend to many, Joanne was a delightful encourager, both uplifting and loyal, often sharing her deeply held faith in God.
Joanne was well read, well informed in politics, and devoted to the New York Yankees. She has certainly left this world a better place, and her humor and grace will echo beyond her walk here among us.
Joanne leaves behind many loving cousins.
