John J. Denney

John James Eugene Denney III “Jack” passed away peacefully on Sept 21, 2022 at Arden Court in West Orange surrounded by his family. He was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Union, NJ to the late John and Rose Denney. He moved to Middlesex NJ in 1973 and was a resident for 27 years. He owned and ran his company Stirling Components. When he retired he moved to Indian Harbour Beach, Florida where he was in a loving relationship for 15 years with his devoted girlfriend Cheryl. In 2020 he moved back to New Jersey to be near his family again. John proudly served two years in the US Army as a Sergeant and was a sharp shooter and was honorably discharged. He graduated from Scranton University with a Bachelors degree in Business. He was an active and proud member in the American Legion for 44 years and loved riding his Harley with the Dawn Patrol Motorcycle Club. Devoted New York Giants fan and was a season ticket holder. He loved to travel so he expanded his business to Puerto Rico and traveled back and forth. Jack had an extensive car collection and worked on cars and motorcycles as a hobby. His favorite was the Corvette. Jack was the life of the party and was always a good time. He loved a great “dad joke” and a beer and always made his family and friends feel loved. He leaves behind his two children Michael Denney (Daughter in law Jen Robb) Gail Dena (husband Rob Dena) and grandfather to his 9 grandchildren Nicquelle, Adler, Peyton, Rocco, Nicholas, Isabella, Alexis, Connor and Ryan. Uncle to Vicky and Ann. He was predeceased by his parents John and Rose Denney, sister Dorothy Cleminshaw and Brother in Law Jim Cleminshaw. Relatives and friends are invited to it visit the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave., Union, NJ on Saturday, October 1st from 10 am to 2 pm.
