Joseph Thomas Kiernan, age 79, of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday January 4, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church 971 Suburban Road Union, NJ, on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 9:30 AM. The family will receive their friends at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union, NJ, on Friday January 8, 2016 from 4-9 PM. Joseph served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps, during the Korean War. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Angela B. (Nappe) Kiernan. His devoted children James Kiernan, David Kiernan, Susan and her husband Mauricio Carelli and Christopher and his wife Renee Kiernan. Loving grandchildren Samuel, Jacqueline, Lucas, Jonathan, Christina, Emily and Erin.
