Joseph "Joe" Tirone, lovingly known as "Big Joe," passed away suddenly on March 21st, 2026. A devoted husband and father, loving brother and son, and adoring grandfather, Joe lived a life centered on the people he loved most.
Joe shared 42 wonderful years of marriage with his wife and best friend, Michele. Together they built a life filled with laughter, loyalty, and quiet everyday moments that meant everything. Whether they were out with friends or simply relaxing at home, they were happiest side by side, with Joe often found content in this favorite chair, enjoying Michele's company.
He was a proud and loving father to Joe, Victoria (Adam), and Christopher (Jennifer). Nothing brought him more joy than being "Pa" to his five beloved grandchildren, Joey, Cameron, Louis, Matthew, and Emma, who adored him just as deeply. He treasured watching them grow, cheering them on, and sharing unforgettable family trips to Disney, where his smile was as big as the castle behind them.
A dedicated and loving son, Joe cherished his relationship with his father, Joe. He especially treasured Saturday mornings spent visiting him, a tradition that meant the world to both of them and reflected the deep importance Joe placed on family and staying close to those he loved.
Joe is survived by his sisters, Donna (Roman) and Lisa, nieces, many cousins, extended family, and countless friends, who will remember him for his warmth, easy-going, and larger than life presence.
He was predeceased by his loving mother, Lois, whose memory he carried with him always.
Joe found happiness in the simple but meaningful things in life: good food, good music, vacations, sports, and being surrounded by family and friends. A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, he could often be found enjoying his favorite songs, sharing stories, or laughing with those around him. Above all, he loved being together, whether at home, around a table, watching football, or watching his grandchildren experience the magic of life.
Joseph "Big Joe" will be remembered for his kind heart, his steady presence, and the deep love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in every family gathering, every shared meal, every laugh, and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
As he would say when he left somewhere: "It's not goodbye, it's see you later."
