Born on October 21, 1932, in Jersey City, Josephine lived a life defined by love, kindness, resilience, and devotion to her family. She dedicated herself to those she loved and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and caring nature touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all else, Josephine's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother who provided guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love throughout her children's lives. She celebrated every achievement, offered comfort through life's challenges, and taught the importance of faith, compassion, hard work, and family unity.
Josephine will be remembered for her welcoming smile, her strength in difficult times, and her ability to make every person feel valued and loved. Whether gathered around the dinner table, sharing stories, or simply spending time with those she cared about, she created lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
She is survived by her loving children, Maria Veglia ( Gerard), Vincent Buttiglieri (Ray Jean), and Joanne Ghiretti (Robert); her grandchildren, Gerard(Michelle), Robert (Jenna), Alex (Joyah), Matthew, Nick (Emily); her great-grandchildren, Clare, Connor, Aubrey, and Kylie; and many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles, her parents Francis and Jenny Mangiapane.
We take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the love, she shared so freely throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the values she instilled, and the lives she touched.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13th at McCracken Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service on September 14th at Holy Spirit RC Church.
