Juana was born in Valpalmas, a village in Zaragoza, Spain in June of 1898. As a young child in the early 1900’s, her family moved across the Pyrenees into Accous, France and later into Bordeaux, France. Later, in her teens, she was involved in making bandages and other medical supplies for American troops during the World War I in Europe.

As a mother and homemaker, Juana was known for her love of animals, cooking, and gardening, but above all for her zest for life and positive outlook which inspired all who met her.
She is predeceased by her brother Maximillian and sister Vicenza, and is survived by her daughter Vincenta, with whom she lived, son Henry and his wife Claire of Green Brook, NJ and grandchildren David Henry and Maria Christina.
