Julia Sanchez (nee Callejas), 96, passed away on March 5, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ramon Sanchez, her children; Maria Sanchez, Ramon Sanchez, Jr and Ramon’s wife, Sandra, and her grandchildren; Lauren and Lindsay Sanchez. Julia immigrated to the United States from Santander Province, Spain in 1953. She settled in Newark, where she worked as a seamstress and raised her family.
A visitation will be held for Julia on Thursday March, 8 at McCracken Funeral home from 9-10:30am. A funeral Mass will be held at 11am at St. Genevieve’s Church, Elizabeth at 11am followed by an entombment at Graceland Memorial Park, Union.
