He was born on August 28, 1952 in Guarda, Portugal.
Julio loved to garden, taking long walks in nature, and watching soccer games. Most important to him was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents Joao and Maria Goncalves, as well as his beloved daughter Jennifer Goncalves.
Julio is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Maria, daughter Jessica and her husband John Barbieri, and son Jason and his wife Kristen Goncalves, as well as four grandchildren Alyssa, Leo, Owen, and Sienna.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the McCracken Funeral Home, Union, NJ on Thursday May 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth, NJ on Friday May 24, 2024 at 10:30 am followed by entombment in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.
