Born and raised in Kearny, New Jersey, Karen later moved to Union, where she attended grade school and high school. Union remained her home for many years before she recently relocated to upstate New York.
For more than 30 years, Karen proudly served as a crossing guard in Union. Karen genuinely adored the children she watched over, and that love was returned many times over by the countless families whose lives she touched. Her warm smile, caring nature, and unwavering dedication made her a beloved member of the community.
Karen found joy in life's simple pleasures. She treasured her trips to the Jersey Shore and looked forward to traveling to Florida, where she enjoyed relaxing along the beautiful beaches. Above all, she took great pride in caring for her family, especially spending time with and helping her mother whenever she was needed.
Karen was predeceased by her beloved father, Dennis Dougan, and her cherished son, Sean Camb.
