You don't realize a lot of things when you're young and not until you have a family of your own do you fully appreciate people who have touched your life. I am eternally grateful for the love you shared with me while I was young. You and your husband treated me like a son when my mother was ailing. You had me over often for dinner and watched out for me during a difficult time. I enjoyed visiting with at your house while I was on duty. We reminisced about good times. You were an avid supporter of the police and fire departments. I love you, forever.

Through the grace of your son and for the very few moments we’d connected over the phone, I was honored to have met one of the warmest, most beautiful hearts that I’d had in so long. For this, I thank you. And in my heart, I know that your strength will carry on for decades throughout the generations you’d brought to life. May you rest, ever so comfortably in peace, knowing the love you’ve spread amongst so very many.

Ma, there are tons of memories we shared, it is impossible to choose only a few. From being the only one I wanted take me driving on my permit to sharing the umbrella on vacation because we would be the only ones to burn, from our dinner dates at Panera to movie nights at your house, we spent so much time together. It’s hard to imagine life without you, you’ve always been a big part of my life, but I know you haven’t left me. I know you’ll be with me every single day watching over me and I’ll always do my best to make you and Poppy proud of me. One of my favorite memories of us now is dancing with you at my wedding and I will treasure it always. I love you 2-5!
