Lily was born in Cebu Philippines on December 15, 1928 to the late Arturo and Filomena Rosel.
In Cape Coral, Florida, Lydia, better known as Lily, and her husband Leo nurtured a flourishing garden, a testament to both of their love of gardening and green thumbs. In their own backyard, they cultivated not only flowers and vegetables but also a variety of fruit trees – avocados, bananas, lemons, oranges, papayas, and wonderful lemoncitos.
Lily's vibrant spirit extended beyond the garden where she enjoyed activities with friends, such as traveling, shopping, and attending mass at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, where she actively participated in various groups, leaving an indelible mark on her community. As we bid farewell, let us remember Lily's zest for life and the joy she brought to her church family and friends.
In addition to her local connections, Lily leaves behind a cherished legacy, touching the lives of many nieces and nephews both in the United States and the Philippines including Renato Savellon & Henry Savellon (Family of Dulce Savellon), Elmer Rosel, Roselynn Rosel, Edsel Rosel & Erwin Rosel (Family of Virgilio Rosel), Rachael Rosel, Ronald Rosel & Rowena Rosel (Family of Romeo Rosel), Albert Rosel, Patrick Rosel, Jean Paul Rosel, and Catherine Rosel & sister-in-law Antonietta Rosel (Family of Jesus Rosel). In celebrating her memory, may we find solace in the beauty she cultivated and the love she sowed in the hearts of those around her.
