Madeline Marie Vertelis, 91, of Tinton Falls, NJ died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Renaissance Gardens, Tinton Falls, NJ. She was a homemaker. Marie was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Union, NJ, where she was active in the Women's Guild and Senior Groups. She was married to Anthony "Tony" Vertelis for 65 years.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was raised in Kearny, lived in Linden for several years, and then moved to Union, NJ, where she resided for 46 years before moving to Tinton Falls, NJ, three years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Anthony "Tony" Vertelis; two daughters, Joanne Ford and Beverly Vertelis; a sister, Eleanor Toman; a granddaughter, Jacqueline Ford, a grandson, Christopher Ford, and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Emily Kent.
A service was held at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Thursday, February 9th, 2006 at 10 a.m.
Entombment followed in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
