Maria C. Rodriguez

Maria C. Rodriguez (nee Parente) age 77, of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday May 18, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michaels Church 1212 Kelly Street Union, NJ, on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at 10:15 AM. Entombment to follow at Hollywood Cemetery Union, NJ. The family will receive their friends at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union NJ, on Tuesday May 20, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Maria was a seamstress, and she worked in the clothing and textile industry for 30 years before her retirement. She was an actively involved member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union Local 475 and served as a representative and delegate representing Local 475 at many Democratic Conventions. Beloved wife for 58 years to Jaime F. Rodriguez, devoted mother of Gloria Rodriguez Testa and her husband Leonard, loving grandmother of Gabrielle and Alexandra who lovingly called her “Abu”, dear godmother of Daniel Leston, sister-in-law of Nieves Leston, Maria was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and the dear friend of Aurora Rodriguez.
